    Travelling to Derby the other day I was absolutely amazed that there are NO comic shops at all in Derby.There was Travelling Man by the bus station and Forbidden Planet.However I have been told that it was down to shop rents unfortunately.Anyone know anything about any new shops in Derby?

    I remember reading about one of the FP staff planning on opening their own shop, think it was on Bleeding Cool or somewhere. No idea if it's opened though.

    I am absolutely amazed that there are any shops at all in Derby. Miserable place.

    Running a shop of any kind is quite tough at the moment...
    I'm sure FP and TM took the tough descision to close some shops in order to protect the whole company long term.

    I was reading, in McSweeney's 33, that average independent book shops in the US have to sell a full price hardback book every 5.88 minutes in order to stay in business.
