I am just mad about this, apart from him already being a marvel character, which he did quite well, Captain America is completey different to Torch, ridiculous casting there...

He was OK in Don't Forget Your Toothbrush, but went downill from there. Agree, strange casting. Cap as a ginger!?

Cast Billie Piper as Peggy Carter and watch the sparks fly!

In all seriousness I was a bit unsure of the other Chris Evans as Cap, but he was brilliant as Johnny Storm (one of the best things in either FF movie actually), and he looks good in The Losers, so I'm willing to give him a go as Cap if he bulks up a bit. I thought for sure they would cast the guy from Avatar/Clash Of The Titans, but as he's not American there would probably be riots for casting Captain AMERICA as anything other than a yank.

They could dub his voice, like they allegedly did to Sam J Jones for Flash Gordon. I think Evans could look the part, although Matt Salinger's left pretty big boots to fill...

Is this the same Chris Evans that played a superhero in Push? And is/was in movie adaptations of Fantastic Four, Scott Pilgrim and Losers?

Bloody hell, he's way bigger there than in FF!

As for his voice, ever heard Christian Bale's real voice? He's Welsh boyo! Hugh Jackman's an Aussie! Easy for him to beef up his voice for Cap.

but Christian Bale is a God, Chris Evans will still sound like a child no matter the accent...

Who's gonna play The Red Skull?

My vote's for Simon Weston. He won't even need any make up!

Hugo Weaving was cast as Red Skull the other week.

But he's not German. His voice will be wrong. I'd cast the guy who played Herr Flick in 'Allo 'Allo.

I'd cast the whole cast of Allo Allo! "Good moaning Captain America, I was just pissing by and I couldn't 'elp noticing your bog rund sheeld".

Not many big actors will do most of a film under so much prosthetics but Weaving proved himself in V For Vendetta that he doesn't need to show his face to be a great actor.

Yeah, but how do you know it was really Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta. He did, after all, wear a mask the whole time.

    He has very distinctive hands.
