    To mark the successful conclusion of renovation work on Leeds' finest and most historic covered shopping street Thornton's Arcade, the Lord Mayor, Councillor Jim McKenna, will be performing the ribbon cutting and delivering a short speech at the Briggate end of Thornton's Arcade at 2.30pm on Thursday 26th August.

    Everyone is invited to attend this prestigious ceremony.

    Thornton's Arcade is the 130 year old shopping arcade located in Leeds city centre. It's the home to many independently owned shops, boutiques, salons and cafe's.
