From Thursday 23rd September we'll be running a scheme where we provide graphic novels for £5.00 each.

    CHEW VOL 1 (PAPERBACK)
A CSI agent can taste crime, set in a post avian flu world where chicken is like an illegal drug.
(if you like this, you'll like I Kill Giants, Sweet Tooth and Cowboy Ninja Viking)

DMZ VOL 1 ON THE GROUND (PAPERBACK)
Manhattan has become a demilitarised zone caught in the middle of the second American Civil War.
(if you like this, you'll like Northlanders and Ex Machina)

Excellent. A real good mix of genres in there too. I've been meaning to get into Fables for ages, and now I've got the perfect excuse! I've never heard of Surburban Glamour, but I'll check it out as I loved Phonogram and Umbrella Academy

Suburban Glamour is great. Its not earth shattering, but its better than Phonogram: Singles Club. And yes! some great choices :)

If you like Alan Moore’s Courtyard you might also like Alan Moore’s Gazebo. Ho! Thanks, I’m here all week! No, you might like Alan Moore’s Neonomicon – the direct sequel currently shipping monthly from Avatar! It’s gibbous!

Omega The Unknown is not £5.00 but it is totally worth whatever it costs. What a fantastic series. Ideas, action, allegory, metaphor, humour, subversion and tragedy all wrapped up in a beautifully off-centre artistic package. Truly, I say unto thee, Omega The Unknown is a titanic thing that should not be let slip into the waters of forgetfulness like what seems to have done happened to Fantastic Four: Unstable Molecules (seek it out also, True Believers!). When agile independent minds meet the fertile concepts of the mainstream sometimes they breed and their offspring is mighty! Shake your mind like a fuzzy tree and embrace the genius and splendour of Omega The Unknown. He’s a Super-hero with a salt shaker! Omega The Unknown: it isn’t £5.00 but it is totally worth buying.
