It looks like, starting in 2011 the new release day for comics in the UK will be Wednesday.

DC have announced that they will bring the price of many of their $3.99 books down to $2.99, and it appears that Marvel will follow their example.

    Weird!

When did Wednesday / Thursday become 'the' days? Something to do with the distribution wars and Diamond's monopoly, or is it from before then?

unfortunatley Marvel no longer appear to be dropping their prices, atleast not on everything, http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2010/10/so-what-happened-to-marvels-new-title-price-cuts-anyway/

But DC have decreased their page counts down to 20, from 22, and Marvels are listed as 32, so thats effectivley 50% more pages for only a Dollar more. I have no idea where page count numbers come from and if they include advertisements though. I am tempeted to go count my pages now...

I think page counts include advertisments, smiggy3000. I'm pretty sure if anyone is going to be giving you better value it won't be Marvel. I don't know where to start with Marvel's behaviour and announcements so I won't. Stay classy, Marvel! Ka-Chinga!
