So, I recorded the NHL All Star Game this weekend gone knowing full well it was going to be a bit of a bust what with Crosby still out and suffering from concussion, and the NHL pandering somewhat to the Carolina home crowd, but what the hey, it's Ice Hockey. And it swings between each team, you know you score four, then we score four so the match goes on fast forward. Until the end of the second period. Because even on fast forward I recognise Stan Lee.

And all of a sudden it's WTF time.

Apparently Stan The Man has developed Superhero tie ins with the NHL. There's a big video 3-D presentation type thing going on at centre ice, action sequences, heroes, villains, and (etc, etc)
Superheroes like the Boston Bruin (it looks like Marvel's Werewolf on steroids). The Detroit Red Wing. The Carolina Hurricane.

    The crowd cheered.

I held my head in shame.

Dude! You need to surf the Web more! How could you not have heard of this?!? It's been all over like self promoting chlamydia with hair plugs!!:

    http://www.comicsalliance.com/2011/02/01/the-ten-most-insane-characters-from-stan-lees-nhl-guardians/

But when surfing The Web do remember to keep your security settings on, kids!

I hope that NHL/Comics thing works out well for everybody and encourages people to seek out these characters in their original papery forms on a regular basis through legitimate retail channels.

    Stan's The Man!
