I saw Thor today (in 'dazzling' 3D). And it is a lot better than I expected (or maybe feared) it would be - it manages to be faithful but, despite featuring The Warriors Three, avoids being a cheesy mess. I'll not offer any spoilers or much info - it is good, go see for yourselves.

In a Marvel movie list I'd say it was a little behind Iron Man but certainly above Iron Man 2 or Incredible Hulk.

And The Punisher is in it (sorta).
  1.
I've seen a bit of the unfilmed script to THOR. In fact I think it's the bit with the Punisher. Judging by the subtle poignancy I think it's one of the bits JMS did:

EXT DAY: Thor and Jane are in a horse drawn cab in Central park when a family passes in front of them and the following dialogue is heard:

CHILD1: "Oh, Father, you are the best father in all the world!! I always feel SAFE WITH YOU!"
CHILD2: "Indeed, we love you so and know you would NEVER EVER FAILS US!"
WOMAN: "C'mon, FRANK CASTLE, don't be so such a grumpy bear NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY SPOIL TODAY!"
MAN (FRANK CASTLE):" Haahahahaha! I love my family so very much, I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'D DO WITHOUT THEM!"

(A big cloud passes overhead shadowing everyone in the scene for a few seconds.)

    THOR: Winter is coming.
JANE: Oh no, I left my gloves at home!

    Maybe not, eh?
  2.
I went and forgot the punchline!

"And that's what they call Thorshadowing!"

Thorshadowing! Foreshadowing! Geddit! Woooo! Proper jokes! Geeze. Tough crowd.
