I have a load of old comics that I wanna get rid of, but dunno how best to get some cash for them. Does eBay do the trick? I don't wanna spend forever sticking them all up on there, running up insertion fees only for them not to sell.

It all depends on how much you want for them. I usually put any issues I have multiples of, or don't meet my high standards, up for 99p so theres no fee for the first 100 insertions, then 99p postage, so im still getting back the 50p I most likley paid to buy them in the first place...

Depending on how many you have sell them at a comic mart.My mate sold his collection or most of it for 25p each.I thought Comic Mart's were just for Comic Shops but clearly not.

If you're going to sell comics at a comic mart, be prepared to sell everything cheap, say for instance 50p per issue. But price everything up at full price as if you don't know what you're doing.
The regular 'professional' dealers love to see fresh meat with their fresh comic collections. You'll get people going through your stuff while you're setting up...
Ask these dealers to make you an offer for the whole lot. The offer will be much less than you have it priced at, but may actually be somewhere near what you actually want.
You may find that you've made your money before the event even opens, and you wont have any stock to carry back.

If you're going to sell to punters/customers at a comic mart you've got to be pretty professional about it. I'd recommend using new, clean comic boxes and having printed any signage rather than hand written.
Make sure you have bags and a change float too.
These things make people think you're for real and not a amateur clearing out you loft.
If you've got a website, or ebay shop, get some business cards, including your email address, printed that you can give to people. That way they can buy from you after the event.
Put together an email mailing list at the comic mart so you can target customers after the event too.

That's enough of my retail secrets for now.

Also as an example-the next Nottingham Comic Mart is charging £28 pound a stall...which may explain why stalls have dwindled from 12 or 13 to just 4 or 5 at the last one.
