Maybe we should a take sweep stake on how she dies?
My guesses are:

Have you not seen the picture of her standing on his head and the man laying on the ground?? Rogue is so underated and her powers kick ass. Screw the whole Omega levels classification, sh eis powerful and would never go down wihtout a fight.
To be honest I don't really like the whole Omega Level mutant classification. It just makes mutants sound tougher than they are. Granted some are very tough and powerful, but so are alot of mutants how possible aren't.
Is this some cruel joke or are there pictures or plot spoilers with Rogue being killed. It'll probably be Mystique disguised as Rogue, then it'll turn out that she'll be fine as well.
Ultimate Rogue is nice, though I am not keen on the whole relationship with Iceman.
Yeah I see what you mean about Omega level mutants Devil Shadow, but they are suppsoed to be ultra powerful, beyond death unstoppable. Though the whole thing is debated. I cam across an argument on wikipedia where these people were getting all worked up over what an Omega level mutant was.
Some say its abilities beyond the mutant ability so mystical. Others says its the ability to maniuplate things at molecular level. other says its just high power levels.
yeah death never seems to stay permanent in comics, in fact I think there is a thread aout it...
As far as I know, Omega mutants are class 1 or 2 - mainly psionics/telepaths ie The Phoenix, Magneto, Prof X etc. Ones who can create world Destruction on a greater level. They have the power to manipulate. it was in the movie.
Who Killed Rogue? Well, Cable told Mystique that history will remember her as a traitor, and a few times now Rogue has mentioned that she doesn't trust Mistique and has just put her on the team to keep an eye on her.... so, I think it must be Mistique who kills her...

Silver Fox - Yes the movie gave class 1-5 as classication for its mutants. In the 3rd we learn that Magneto and Pyro are higher then class 3 and that only Jean Grey is a class 5, not even Prof X or Magneto reach it in the movies. I think it was based on something in the comics but is not considered canon for comics.
As I said there is great debate. Powerful mutants aren't conisdered Omega coz they don't fufil some people's requirements such as Prof X was the most power telepath in the world but couldnt manipulate things at molecular level whereas Iceman can and so they class him as an Omega level mutant and not Prof X
Ooo, JM has a point, she's doing the whole "i don't trust ma mum" thing isn't she. Maybe there will be an attempt on Mystique's life and Rogue wil jump in and save her but killed at the same time. I wouldn't put it past Marvel to do something sickeningly obvious like that ...
the relationship between Rogue and Mystique is very complex.
Mystique was a mother figure to Rogue, took her in, hugged her without fear. But Rogue was betrayed be her so many times. However she still refers to her as her "momma" so there is still a strong connection.
Personally I don't see how Rogue can die, she is way to good to die unless she is sacrifing herself or something, thats the only way really coz she wouldnt get taken out by some crappy punk villain.
No it wouldnt be relaistic for Rogue to die by th ehand of some crappy punk. SHe is way too trained, been an X-Man for years and has kick ass powers. It would be stupid for any long term X-Mean to be killed that way, especially Rogue.
What if a brick fell on her head? She wouldn't be expecting it would she? So her magic powers would fail and she would be dead with a brick in her head. Maybe that's it.

Personally, i think they should draw her parking her car, and concussing herself as she tried to put her head out of the closed window to check how close she was to the curb. It happens.

Well to be technical about it, the Danger Room includes battle scenerios set in urban environments that have, you guessed it, falling masonary. SO she would be well used to wall and building collapses and objects droping or coming at her. Hell she beat Wolverine in a danger room simulation for leadership of the X-Men. So yes she could stand it.

well considering she never did when she was in her darkest days of uncontollable powers, the duual personality of carol danvers or when she was a young teen then I dont see why should suddenly top herself now.
maybe something else happens in the next 6 months and she tops herself, maybe mike carey will just decide to kill her becasuse she said something about his mother.
