Welcome to the forum, feel free to talk about anything you deem OK.

Everytime some body asks me where the name came from I give them a different answer. There're about 10 different reasons.

Well, why do you think it's named OK Comics?
  6.
Because the shop is OK and other shops are crap?
On the other hand it wouldn't be anything to do with somebody's initials would it?

if you go by that then the shop should be called kick ass comics.
  7.
Yeah! Imagine walking around town with your new comics in a "KICK ASS COMICS" bag. A bag that just smacks of character, distinction and taste.

Or am I just been sad.

    Never assume...
  9.
it is called ok comics because ok is an old english abriviation of oll korrect which translates to all correct which simply means all correct comics or if you want a workable pharse in order comics (and not the shambles some other stores are)

There are some great lines in that wikipedia entry...

"International market research done by The Coca-Cola Company in the late 1980s revealed that "Coke" was the second most recognizable word across all languages in the world. The first word was "OK."

"What's the point of OK? Well, what's the point of anything?"

"They would also sometimes contain messages from the OK Manifesto, which was a series of platitudes about OK-Ness, pithy thought reform sayings with no real meaning, much in the style of doublespeak in Nineteen Eighty-Four, mocking traditional advertisement slogans or catch-phrases."

    And my favorite...
"It is still referenced in hipster crowds as an example of large corporations attempting to connect with youth markets and failing."
  11.
So it's not in honour of what the Bank manager said when he asked for a loan to start the shop up?
  12.
