10 years ago, if you'd have told me that Image comics were going yo be publishing historical, biographical slice of life/action adventure stuff, I'd have probaly choked on my Shadowhawk die cut variant. But recent years have seen Image drastically scale back the generic 'bad girl' superhero stuff in favor of more interesting and wide ranging books like Walking Dead, Nightly News, Gutsville and this week Parade (With Fireworks). Very briefly it tells of how quickly a small town feud can explode into violence. Written by Italian America Mike Cavallaro, it's a tale set in the old country and looks like it's going to be the first part if a long running series of his family anecdotes. Worth checking out.
