I'm assuming that you've put volume one for the ones with more than one volume because we'll want to read more of them. And you missed out preacher.
  2.
no i just chose something different powerless was a great little series why not make your own a-z of must reads
  3.
And as they all appear to be collections try some Cerebus or Carl Barks. If we're considering true graphic novels read some of the earlier Eisner particularly A Contract With God. Try starting at Zot! for Z.
  4.
isnt that what a graphic usually is a collection of comics i mean i know alot of indy stuff is released into graphic but mostly it is collections, hey at least i didnt miss any letters out

Some people use the term Graphic Novel to meen an original work released as one book, not a reprint of a previously published series. A lot of people think of these books as 'collections' or 'trade paperbacks', which is now kind of redundant as most are 'mass market paperbacks' now anyway.
    I prefer the term 'book'.
But, yeah, definately check out Eisner. Contract With God is good, but I think I prefer Dropsie Avenue.

I'm not really into batman but i thought i'd lend dark knight returns from the library, and it's great, specially the fight with superman.

Y eh? You could go for Yellow Baby by Jed Alexander, Young Bug by Michael Daedalus Kenny, Y The Last Man by Brian K Vaughan or my favorite the Yummy Fur series by Chester Brown which has been reprinted as Ed The Happy Clown, I Never Liked You, and Playboy.

As my A-Z I chose some of my favourite stories that had been collected into book form, unfortunately several of these books are no longer in print.

    A) A Disease of Language
    B) Black Order Brigade
    C) Cages
    D) Daddy's girl
    E) Enigma
    F) From Inside
    G) Green Dog Trumpet
    H) Hewligan's haircut
    I) Incal
    J) Joe's Bar
    K) Kabuki : Metamorphosis
    L) Last American
    M) Mystery Play
    N) New Statesmen
    O) One Trick Rip Off
    P) Prisoner: Shattered Visage
    Q) Queen of the Black Black
    R) Rogan Gosh
    S) Skreemer
    T) Toxic Gumbo
    U) Uncle Sam
    V) Viriconium (german language only)
    W) Why Are You Doing This?
    X) X-Men Visionaries Jim Lee
    Y) You Are Maggie Thatcher
    Z) Zenith

How about an A-Z of great comic stories that have never been collected into book form? Such as 'The New Adventures of Hitler' or 'Reverbstorm' or 'Gumby's Summer Fun Special' or 'Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Vanishing Villain' or 'Paradax' or Michael Kaluta's comic adaptation of the movie 'The Abyss'
