The first series was pretty hard to get hold of until it was collected, so it's good to see that it sold well enough to get a sequel.

The story centres around private detective Alan Sirois and his partner Mr. Bloomberg. Bloomberg is a ventriloquist's dummy, although to Sirois he's a paraplegic who took a bullet for him. With me so far? Good.

In the first series, this odd relationship was accepted. But following the climax of their last case, tensions are building between the partners as their fame rises. An eccentric millionaire hires them as the celebrity guests on a murder mystery cruise. But it looks like there will be more murder and mystery than was originally planned...

The art this time comes from Joe Eisma rather than Ron Chan, who use the same clean lines and bold colours. It's not going to wow you, but it supports the story well. Some of the earlier pages are a bit off model compared to last series, but once the story kicked off I was drawn right in.

I don't believe that OK stocks the "Selleck" variant covers, which are exactly the same as the regular cover but with the addition of a moustache. I'm not joking.
