Im not the biggest Superman fan but I actually enjoyed the movie quite alot.
Kevin Spacey as Luthor was outstanding.

    *Sends memo to Hollywood*

I have been reading a few Superman's from a library.

they are ok, but I just prefer marvel charcters and stories, how they write and draw the characters.

tho I have always watch DC series like New adventures of Superman and Smallville, watched all the batman and superman films.

    strange.

it is interesting how DC''s biggest guy is their most powerful one, or is super powerful whereas Mrvels big ones areb't nearly as powerful i.e Spiderman, Wolverine and Captain America.

Spiderman - yeah he is super strong and swings around but he aint on superman power level

Wolverine - impossible to kill pretty much but can be knocked out an dbeaten and doesnt have firing powers or really super strength.

Captain America - a super solider but only i sthe peak of human physcial limit and an unbreakable sheild.

Superman is eaily more powerful then the 3 of them but they are the top guys of marvel.

    interesting I think.

Nuclear man? They should've named him Bad Hair Day Man or Long Fingernails Man. Oh, and his weakness was erm, he lost his powers when the sun disappeared? That's the worst weakness ever. Its like having a weakness to vegetables.

They showed a "fight scene in space" clip in that Curse documentary - wow, you could actually see them standing on a floor ... so bad so bad. Things I would like to have removed from my brain: No.1 Superman 4

X-Men 3 was alright as a film and had great effects.

it was just that a fiar bit in it sucked balls, like killing Xavier and Ccyclops, Rogue hardly being in it then being cured at the end, Having new characters but them not doing or saying much, cutting out the bobby was a cheating dickwad.

other then that it was ok.

Hah, ok you're right, X-men 3 was ok. I just wanted to see more of Iceman kicking butt. And i've never gotten over Mckellen as Magneto. Too frail looking. And, yeah, what was the deal with Rogue?

So then, is Superman 4 the worst superhero film ever?
  10.
Xmen 3was alright, in respect to action and having Kitty, Beast, Moira and Maddox, but the plot seemed rushed all the way through and the killing off of Cyclops and Xavier was shite, it didn't have Nightcrawler in it, the teaser after the credits was tacky, the Rogue, Bobby, Kitty subplot seemed virtually unneccessary and now you mention it digbyswift, Wolverine was overlyemotional on the level of emoVader, from Star Wars episode 3, not a good look for the bad boy Wolverine.

Also I wonder how many references/parallels there are in Superman Returns of the 1st Superman film. like Luthors land grab scheme
  11.
Doesn't Superman Returns take place after the battle with Zod, therefore ignoring the happenings of Supes III & IV.

And digbyswift ~ that question is worthy of a seperate discussion.

McKellen ruled as Magneto!!!!! He should get an oscar for it no lie!

He totall captured the essence of Magneot and made the charcter come to life. Yes he doesn't have bulging musciles like in the comics but to be fair, comics are a bit of fantasy on the physical side. Do you know many 70 year old men with the body of the comic Magneto? And how many owmen have the exaxt body of the countless number of super heroines? Not many.

So you can't diss it for that.

Yes X-Men 3 could have been better, but it was ok. I was still buy it on dvd when it comes out.

Superman returns does indeed take place after Superman 2 and I did notice the reference to superman 2 with the property and such.

Also, the reference Gotham!!!! I so hat eit when DC tries to be real and only does the cities that exist in real life. Its Gotham man, thats how it should be.

*Okay, i havent been on here for a couple of months so I am a bit rusty*
I havent seen Superman yet and being the Marvelite that I am, it kind goes against what I believe in. However I think I will (IF I) only got to see Kevin Spacey as an unhinged Lex Luthor.

As for how many women have bodies like Superheroines...maybe we dont because we are fed up of being EXPECTED to have figures like that!!

X-men 3 i enjoyed more than the other 2. I wasnt sad for Jean though, I think i expected it. The same thing happened with Wolverine`s ex-love Mariko and i hadve no sympathy for her untimely death either. My heroine was responsible *huge smile*

Walking X, you need to find a local girl who you can make happy. Maybe a girl called Marie, so you can call out her name at bedtime and imagine it's Rogue.

aye yes, the Rogue film verison is way different to comic version.
tho thats coz of studio execs and the general public, try throwing in a non mutant superhero ms marvel, and rogue absorbing her powers and shiar and all that jazz that was in the comics and you'd never get a film.

Actually film rogue is quite similar to Ultimate Rogue. Same age, same relations with bobby, look and such.

I do greatly appreciate the makers of the film for bring flesh to the rogue character and I do think Anna Paquin is well hot, especially with the white stripe ;-)

but in their world now she is cured so she can have any man, I'd be less special :-(

I thought he was meant to be a badass mofo evil dude and his attempt at Pestilence was a little half hearted since everyone who came into contact with him/her caught a mild cold and recovered after a hot drink, a hug and a decent nights sleep.

Marsters was there after I left.
He was scheduled to appear while I was there but cancelled because of whatever. Which was a shame as we had him booked to do a live performance at Josephs Well, meet and greet the fans rather than just sitting at a table signing pictures. We were gonna sell badges that said "I've been Spiked" or "I got bit!" or something.

Don't know about Ghost of a Robot. I think he was in a different band at the time. If they aver played Josephs Well, I never knew about it.

    wow...........

didn't know he was in another band, unless he had gone solo by then. I have his solo alubum and downloaded most of the Ghost of the Robot tracks.

damn, it would have been awesome to see him perform, but if he never olayed the well then cool.

Aye I know! I watch Smallville.

No, James Marsters is playing Milton Fine, really a Kryptonian construct that has aided in the release of General Zod from his prision. He is playing that relaitys version of Brainiac tho he hasn't been called as such.

Though I already knew that, that's a pretty big spoiler for people who haven't seen the latest series yet.
