Check this still out from the movie!

Not sure they've got Romana quite right, but they rest of the cast look spot on.

Did you see the one with the flaming sword? It made my body do strange things.

My beef with the cast still is that Kim looks... well, not great.

You mean you don't fancy her, like you do in the comic?

I don't think any of the cast look particularly right, but thats really cause of the comics art style...
  2.
Kim Pine is HOT! (In the comic) And she has some girl on girl action! And she's a drummer! In fact her only flaw is that she's a two-dimensional fictional character. But that would be an improvement on some of my previous liasons!

Amazon.co.uk have listed a release date of 8th July 2010 for the UK edition "Untitled Scott Pilgrim (Paperback)".
Still no date on the original US edition.
  3.
Hmmmm, my hopes are tentatively up. The fact that it doesn't even have a title yet makes me think July will come and go without sight of it, but let's hope I'm wrong!

The UK edition of Scott Pilgrim Vol 4 (Get's it Together) doesn't include a colour section. The eight page colour intro is reprinted in grey scale!

doesn't look that bad considering Michael Cera probably still gets ID'ed whereever he goes, and isn't even 22 (true, looked it up)... also, I think I would rock that part if it was english, can't do a canadian accent though...

and a nice trip back to the beggining of it all with http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2010/03/24/a-year-of-cool-comics-day-83/

Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour is probably our most asked about book at the moment.
The most common question is "When's it out?"
It's being published in the US by Oni Press who list the release date as 20th July, but the US book distributor we'll be getting them from lists a 3rd August release date...
It's being published in the UK by Fourth Estate / Harper Collins and has a release date of 22nd July.

We're hoping to have both editions as early as possible.

I'll update this thread whenever I get any more news.

    Is it in yet?
    Where is is?
    What's going to happen?
How many pages will it have?
    How much will it be?
    Will it have variant covers?
    Is it in 3D?
    What's O'Malley doing next?
  4.
What's the difference between UK and US editions?
  5.
Er. Ignore that. I just re-read the thread!!

We just received a very limited quantity of Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour (Book Six).
    http://www.scottpilgrim.com/
    Come and get one!!!!
  6.
    Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! Roll on lunchtime!!!!
  7.
Yay! It was awesome. O'Malley really ramps up the video-game aesthetic in this final volume for the "end boss level", and it really works. There are some great laugh out loud lines as well.

My only gripe was I'd come to love the supporting cast but this one really just focuses on Scott and Ramona. It needed more Wallace dammit!

Tonight I'm gonna re-read 'em all!

I loved it, I have a weird feeling of 'it's over' kinda like when I got to the end of the credits in episode 3 though...

Read it in 45 minutes on my lunch today. A very joyus ending! Smashing stuff, just a little brief, but then it was a big fighty climax so that is allowed. I loved Envy Adams in her Gaga-like outfit :D

It's been a Pilgrim-centric weekend. I read books four, five and six yesterday and generally really enjoyed the whole series, especially where Wallace or Knives were involved.

Then, naturally, I went to the see the film, which was...ok. Much of the stuff from the books is crammed in (although Envy almost may as well not have been) but at times it seems almost incoherent and Scott and Ramona come off as a bit whiny. Kim was great, as was Knives, however. Overall, it almost tried to be too faithful to the book. It did change things but at the same time tried to cram lots and lots in. The two stand-outs were Captain America and Superman, who were both hilarious.

As well as Captain America and Superman, it also has The Punisher! Comics-crazy!

I thought the film was excellent, it really captured the humour of the comic (mainly by lifting most of the dialogue straight from the page) - but I still think that Michael Cera was woefully miscast as Scott. He was too wimpy and whiny - why would Ramona, or any of the other girls, be remotely interested in him? Thought Ramona was really good though, as was the rest of the case. Sex Bo-Bomb sounded just like they did in my head, although Kim was far from the cute good-looking character from the comics.

Haven't read any of the comics yet so nothing to compare it to but went to see the film today and really enjoyed it, a lot more than I thought I would. I pity anyone not into computer games who goes to see it though.

I think my favourite character had to be Kim (I think, the band's drummer).

I went to see this on at the pictures on Wednesday, thanks to the magic of Orange Wednesdays. I loved it! Like Watchmen, its pretty much lifted straight from the source, but it really works. Apart from Ramona's hair, which fascinated me, just 'cos it didn't look ... right. Until now, Kick Ass had been my favourite movie this year, but this might just have pipped it. And I liked how Sex Bob-Omb sounded! So yay for that too :)

As Midnighter said (er, back in August there...), anyone not familar with the visual language of computer games might be a bit non-plussed with it.

I thought it was good, but mayne the hype got to me a little. The fight sequences & things were amazing, but everything in between just seemed not as gd, and Ramona's space portals could have been slightly better explained for people un formilliar with the origional works (ive havnt read the yet but could have explained them better). Also, Scott Pilgrim is a jerk haha
  11.
Um, well she did say Scott had a convenient hyper space portal running through his head. I just thought they weren't used very much.
