I seem to remember him exploding! or transfering to the Wildstorm universe and exploding! or something.

Last I heard Jim Corrigan went to visit his estranged father. He met his Grandad and a sister he didn't know he had, before his father tragicaly died. Jim then went back to his boring day job. I'm not sure how he fits in with all those super-heroes, but he was once the smartest kid on Earth.

My favorite issue of Jim Corrigan is the one where Jim's Granddad and his Granddad's dad go to the Chicago Worlds Fair and Jim's Granddad's Dad leaves Jim's Granddad there for a few minutes. But never goes back. Ever.
  2.
It's almost as if the author has some father abadonment issues.
  3.
Jim's Grandad's Dad is my new hero.

Written by Fleisher who went onto voice Roger Rabbit? Or was that an alternate Universe?

What was the name of the guy who used to morph into mutant animals, he fought against animal man in one of his early modern age issues, and he said some disease in that, think he was trying to get back a white ape that scientists kidnaped. I have seen him once on telly for a bout in 2 minutes in the brave and the bold, where batman does that little bit before the actual episode starts,he was a hero on that, i think its something man. He just wears trousers, think he may be black but im not 100% on that.

This is what i meant to type when i replied, got side tracked thinking bout the animal fella. Captain atom is meant to be missing in action fighting the monitors after infinite crisis, so he is porbably just on a back burner until they need him to join a new group or something, he is sorta like a low rent superman, so every team needs a hard hitter.

With reference to your first query: It's Trouser Man!
No, it's actually Bwana Beast. But I think we have to call him Freedom Beast now because of all that Colonial Guilt business, doncha know? Anyone for tiffin?

Yup, he's been in Mighty Avengers.
  7.
but is he tougher than a Plenty kitchen roll (formerly Bounty the taste of paradise) ..?
  8.
Maybe he's one of the blokes in drag in the TV adverts for kitchen roll.
